Feel like you have been Duped?

So there you are, watching your local TV station and some ad comes on saying you can try it free? So you log onto the we site but find out that your Free Trial is to just log on. What ever your looking to do is going to cost you.

Example, saw an ad on our local CW here about this outfit called www.BeenVerified.com , so I logged on to just see what it had on ye ole Wolf here. So I entered my name and found, I ain’t the only one with my name. Imagine that, so seeing one with my middle name , punched search. Both my residences in Utah and Idaho came up, with only Monkey on there as my XYL, imagine that too. But when I wanted additional information, saw I had to fill out some bullshit including a credit card. So in reality the search is not free. Why not say that your first search is complimentary with a paid subscription? I can remember when there was this outfit called Free Credit Report . com came on a few years ago. Found out that the credit report is contingent on you subscribing to their credit monitoring service. It took us as a club two years and multiple FTC submissions , that they finally said on their TV ad’s, that the free credit report is complimentary, with subscription. Why not just say that in the first place? With people ya’ll get a better reputation and sales success if ya’ll just say in your ads the real truth. With us at Dixie Towing/Southern Steele XPRESS , there is no claims being made that we as a company wont live up to, and nothing we don’t have to offer. There are never any claims being made that we can’t or wont do. Like a free tow and ride home on major holidays, like Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Christmas and New Years Eve. Our claim and we have lived up to it since we signed onto the program in 1989 when the TRAA set up the thing called T.O.W.E.D that is Towing.Operators.Working.to Eliminate.Drunk Driving. The thing is we are called to a bar, the person having had too much to drink , gets a free tow within a reasonable distance and ride home. Yes I have lost a few dollars that way, but at least we gained some brownie points with some local area law enforcement agencies. When we have our rates right on the dash board as well as on the sides of the trucks as to just what the call costs, that’s the price or rate we stick too. But few others will do that. In all we as a company have never said we charge this or offer that and the exceed that cost or not offer what we said on an ad. That may be the reason that Dixie Towing of Idaho/Southern Eagle Xpress is still in business after some nearly 30 years.  There is no bait and switch in the way we do business. It’s like when I float an ad for models for promo gigs, many say I can’t pay. Wrong. Yes I make small money, but when I run an ad, I plan well in advance the project, figure out how much its going to cost me. But when a candidate has met all the requirements , does the job to its completion, I go, get a certified bank check and that person gets paid. Some will say no to that, but those who really know, knows I d what I say I will do. Unless I get sick with an illness or some other complication, you can bet your next touch and go, that it whatever it is, gets done. As I claimed it to being done. Then there are those that will claim that AyreWolf Aviation is a smoke and Mirrors front. But what you will not see on TV or elsewhere an ad for AyreWolf Aviation. You’ll only see that when I have all the I’s dotted and T’s crossed and real byrds flying. At least in Idaho. AyreWolf Aviation does do ads in Utah, because Cuzzin Gordon, does fly, dusting crops and killing insects there. Everything I have ever put on a ad for the company, can be verified if only one really shows up at the shack, or shop. My dad always told me never advertise anything you ain’t got to sell or offer, and I never have. No matter who might say otherwise.

Nuff sedd, but I can tell you I’ looking into BeenVerified.com and will send in the false claims to the FTC. With that there, and I’m sure some will cite my military service. Yes I signed up for enlistment in the Navy, because of an injury did not get accepted. And yes it is wrong that I say that I served in the USMC, but as far as the United Confederate States Marines, I proudly serve. I was appointed a Colonel by that organization and it has stuck. With all that said, I attempt to honor such people as My Dad, all 4 of my Uncles from the deep south, who served flying in defense of this nation, as well as real hero’s , like Pappy Boyington. The history of both ayrecraft and those who flew them needs to be preserved, and that is the main mission of the AyreWolvez. Additionally , can I fly yes. Do I fly with  a FAA License, no. But that day is coming up rapidly. Do I own ayrecraft? Yes. They remain housed in Hangar 7 at the Bountiful SkyPark , West Bountiful Utah, next to where AyreWolf Aviation remains operational. Will AyreWolf Aviation come to Idaho? Maybe, but you’ll not see me putting that up on TV until we bring AyreWolf Aviation here to Idaho, and there are a bunch of If’s, to that happening. What you will see on a TV ad from me, is when you need a tow call me. Albeit in rigs that need serious attention cosmetic wise , but I can say I have never dropped or lost a tow. No do I have even one damage claim on any vehicle I have towed.

As one said the Truth will set you free. And as for those that unload the manure on SAMCRO , the Knytes even the AyreWolvez, all are very much real, and anyone that really pulls their heads out of their ass long enough to come to a meeting of one or anyone of our meetings will learn the clubs are very much real.

If the bitch don’t work get rid of it

Here lately my trusty Acer notebook computer has been havin some real issues. 80% of those issues involve not a heckovalot C;drive disk space. So let’s say I’ve been looking at ways to chuck the programs I’m not using much of or don’t work too keen in the first place. But it’s like a bunch of things lately, if the bitch don’t work get rid of it. Computer problems are an ongoing thing, and while I’ll never be one to know all things compu-geeky, still I can remember a really good computer place in of all places, MHI. Back when I had a Presario computer, I kept getting hung up on certain programs, plus the internal fan never really help keep things kewl. So I took it in that store, and they tossed in Intel processor and installed an AMD processor plus added on a higher output fan. I was then running Windows ME, but after the $200.00 repair, that Presario flew like a F-18. I mean near Mach speed. That Presario was one of many treasures I wished I could have held onto on my exit out of Evanston. Which I put the entire blame on myself. If I’d have kept my mouth shut as to what I was building there, plus kept my pecker in check, the entire Tammy thing would never have happened and thus I’d most likely never would have left. Despite the cold there in Wyoming. But that’s water under the bridge, can’t fix yesterday and can only learn from it. Thank goodness I was able to assemble a good friendship through Nurse GoodBody.  Now if I had not let my balls to over ride my brain, and taken on way too much in late December, and Ellie May, Emme and I to get the radio werx byrd off the tarmac, BEFORE adding on more employees, there in Gooding, much of what is holding back the progression of AyreWolf FM would not be holding us back. Again my screw up. I allowed short skirts, flirts, and all make me into the subservient and not the boss Commanding Officer I should have been. Amazing ain’t it?

With that said though, I punched in the number of associates that were all pleased to be our IT geeks, and the same thing kept coming up, none of them wanted to work with AMD processors.

With that said, going to be offline for a few weeks, taking Marge my notebook computer in for a refresh, and debug as well as memory boost. So as of Monday need to get in touch? Call me.

An All New Tonight Show?

It was billed as an All New Tonight Show , this evening on NBC / KTVB. It is only new if you hadn’t watched the show for a month. As the same show was ran on March 5th. Yes it was a repeat. The question becomes is it really that hard to write, produce and air a different show each night, and it be consistent ? For network types it must seem that way. But from doing 3 hours a week, truly LIVE every week on Pocatello’s Cable Access TV Channel 12, not only did I do my own writing, but production and I kept it completely fresh each time. So and this has been said before by many, but I’ll repeat this, “ If I can do it So can they” Is it that I’m more creative? Or that I have an overflowing imagination, or is it the combat aviators mantra that says, once you engage finish the battle? Or is it a combination of UCSMC and Hazzard County Tenacity? Am I feelin a bit put out to pasture here? Perhaps and not sounding my own trumpet here, but I took a channel that few if any watched and had most of Pocatello as well as Chubbuck watching Cable Access TV. The question I ask of NBC, is why say the show tonight is really new? That is all I have to say on that.

April Snow ?

It’s not unusual to see serious weather conditions in our area. Whether its Idaho or Utah if you don’t like the weather wait 15 minutes and it’ll change. Thing is , or the big question becomes is our climate changing opposite what so many for years have been barking about? Former VP Gore sezz its global warming. Cats breath. Its more like global freezing. Smog tests on not only ground based rides, cars, trucks, etc but also our aircraft. Why? The list goes on, of course, but I think I’d rather go back to when weather was a bit more predictable, by those weather casters who really have lived here in the area , rather than so many who live and lived long ways away. Used to be, it was at least 4 maybe 5 really hard snow storms from mid January to mid March. By April it was mostly rain, then it began to get warmer and sunnier. Not any more. Western Idaho was always ahead crop growth than eastern Idaho simply because it got warmer earlier . Not the case today. The crop growth is equal. I really wanted to get in the air this weekend to get some seat time and log some air hours. With weather being what it is, seems as though most of our ayre crew is grounded.

As I close, there is progress in aviation, medicine. Seems as though the FAA, is going to allow us to fly even if some of us need to take Zoloft. What does that mean at least for me? It means I can take the required Zoloft I take and still fly. Because of my recent illness I have lost enuff weight where I can pass my FAA med exam, all I need now is enuff good weather and good seat time air hours, and ye ole Wolf will have my FAA GA, license.

So snow go, so I can fly.

Who sezz the ROI isn’t there?

One of my biggest gripes of residing as well as trying to gain altitude in making a living in Western Idaho, has been the lack of a full 10 meg in , 10 meg out DSL or other type internet connection. While I’d love to create a or be an ISP , I do not have that much computer geek smarts, so I turn to others. The same song is always sung. The ROI in Bliss , much less Hazzard itself is just not there. That same tune was being played even in years gone by in Hazzard in 1975. While I will not take credit for it, nor will I say that the Hazzard Knytes, then, Knytes-of-Anarchy/AyreWolvez now, it was our barking and howling that brought direct dial telephone service to Hazzard, and an exchange, to where you just dialed a long distance phone number, rather than an operator coming on line to take down your number to enable the call to be completed. Likewise, it was the frustration of KMVT albeit all good and all, but up until late in 1983 after Mom passed away that the ability to watch, albeit snowy, but being able to watch other TV channels other than KMVT. However even now there are those in the media business, who think that Magic Valley Commerce, starts and ends at the bridge. There IS advertising dollars in not just Jerome, but Gooding, Shoshone, Buhl, Hazzard, Wendell, and even Bliss. Problem is; many TV types see their market just at the end of the Canyon, and never look beyond it. Back when TCI was the cable service provider, at first TCI had no plans on stretching a wire between Jerome to Bliss, much less Hazzard. Then came Satellite TV which was cost prohibitive at the time, which gave grounds for such things as HazzComm, that is called Hazzard County Communications. Yes it was us, who said lets combine the microwave signals flowing on top of Bell Rapids, and satellite pipe it down the slopes and wahlah , HazzComm TV was born. Later in the 4 years following, something called PrimeStar bought HazzComm, and became essentially wireless cable. Over a few years PrimeStar was bought by Teton Wireless Cable based in Idaho Falls. But did it take us to keep howling to get things going? The question is why is it always us? If the gains in Idaho’s economy is to gain something stable and jobs increase, those who can’t look past their own noses, into their back yards to sustain the albeit marginable growth. There has always been the mindset, that why do it here? Let me give you a simple example. This week, LDS Conference is on TV, but only on digital signals. Meaning if your watching via old analog viewing , like the local CW or KTVB’s local LPTV access, your not going to be able to see Church conference. While many know my views of the church I don’t condemn LDS teachings, just some doing the teachings. Those of us wanting to tune in must do so via radio, mostly from 50,000 watt KSL 1160 out of Salt Lake City. Not warm and comfy in our homes. But KTVB did not take this into account. Why? Because the ROI(Return-of-Investment) is not there. Really? I can put my fingers on at least a half dozen advertisers who would have supported that airing. Even us here at AyreWolf Aviation/Southern Eagle Xpress. Question then must be asked, why? Yep, ROI is not there sezz those in charge. With mobile internet access, cell phones, etc'; it’s time that a few executives got out of the office and took a look at the bigger picture. THE ROI is THERE.

Weekend open flying conditions are IFR with low VFR , snow is very possible, with cross winds at most AyreWolvez airports. It’s not going to be great for getting in the air.

One Step in the right direction but is it sustainable

Saw on the news this evening that some charter airline is setting up its HQ in Boise. Boise is no doubt the only choice since the rest of the State of Idaho could never sustain that kind of company. At least to something over a SMB crop dusting company. The economy is turning over, problem is it might be the rolling over is like your 44, turning over at night and only passin gas. Yep it’ll stink for a few seconds, but she’s relived and anything beyond a good yawn and its over.  I’m not saying Idaho could not grow faster than cotton in the South cuzz it could. But most will say no growth in my neighborhood. Let’s face it Idaho is not, repeat not the state you move to to build a career, its more like if your lucky, find a job, or flat retire. It’s like KTVB –7 out of Boise. Don’t get me wrong here, I really like KTVB’s newscasts. Most of their onsite and area reporters are very much true broadcast professionals, but they are not Salt Lake City quality, much less network able. Not saying they cain’t, just is not enuff to motivate anyone no matter gender to get into broadcast news. Much less engineering. Localism in broadcasting was a buzz word late in the Clinton administration . The idea was to force to the front local input as far as news etc. The idea also was to bust up media conglomerates. Like Clear Channel and Citadel. Didn’t break anything up, just made most of CC’s outfits to reform themselves and take up a new handle to light the candle. What would I like to see? At 22:00 hours, a shut off from Boise say in the case of KTVB , and a local newscast, generated by the local KTVB sub station in Twin Falls. I fully understand why they don’t do that. Shit look at how hard it was for us at SAMCRO Media to generate even a mere pimple on the six of a station concept. Which I need to make this clear here, AyreWolf FM and its siblings will launch in May to mid June. The gear in Gooding needs to be rescued first and facilities found that has the broadband IT speeds we need to bring that forward. Plus some IT Techie stuff. If I hadn’t gotten so damn sick in March we’d be there now, but with the meds I’m on now its more possible than it was .  Media growth in Idaho, is one of those things that most can’t bank, and for those who can the work force for such things, outside of maybe Boise, or one of the major cities, the faces and voices are just not here. With these last bouts of getting sick, it brought to the front HUD that even if I’d like to which I do, I can’t do it all myself, so for a few months, I’m putting AyreWerx on the shelf.

Sure be glad to get some solid food. A milk only diet, just makes me need to hurl more..

The Wind is still blowing, 9 pounds lost

There are certain constants in the Universe. One is that no matter the time of year, through our small village called Bliss there will be a wind storm. Sometimes light, some real gusts but the wind still stirs the air. Two other communities that I have resided in have this same distinction. One is Springville Utah and the other Glenn’s Ferry Idaho. Springville is at the mouth of a canyon, so no mystery there . Anytime there is the opening of two major land masses there is going to be rushing air, namely wind. The same goes for Glenns Ferry, that also is the opening of two major land masses. Sometimes this can be a great benefit, such as lifting of the tarmac. The take off distance is better if you can get the headwind under the wings faster.

Finally getting over being pukey. Still there, just not as bad. The Doctor gave me two prescrips, to fill. One is Phenergan the other is a brand name anti nausea medicine. Had to get the no name generic version of the Phenergergan . The Doctor said, that if its not completely gone by Monday, next, the plan is to get me  floroscan in essence they run a micro cam down your throat to look and see just how much damage is done to my insides. Once done, the paper work goes to the Attorney, as I’m looking at suing the Skinny Pig and Ziggy’s for food poisoning. Let’s just say I’m owed.

Haven’t heard from Alliance, but that’s Friday’s snooping around. Got a boost in grub stamps, meaning food will go much further this Month. Last but not least. Its my birthday this month, the 27th to be exact. I’ll be one mark over a half century old. Shit I never ever thought I’d live this long and not accomplish more. Saw an image of myself this past week, that might change the course. One thing Cuzzin Bud sedd a long time ago, that I can’t gain altitude on my career or even personal goals if I keep up rooting and moving all the time, just due to the arrogance and ignorance of others. Let’s see I moved from Pocatello, Idaho, where I had a pretty good gig going on there at CH-12. Why? Because some butt maggot bikini bar bouncer was getting his jollies shitting on my projects. Wish I would have put two and two, together and done away with the problem, then I would never have had to relocate. Then there was being heckled in GF . But had not my landlord there went belly up and I HAD TO MOVE, I most likely would have stayed put.

At least with the sickness, I contracted from eating at the Skinny Pig, I did loose 9 pounds. So not doing too bad. I’m on a milk only diet. Yogurt is the only solid food I can intake.
